    Hi,

Im not sure how this works, so im sorry if this is not the correct way to do this. a customer service rep told me to post on here to get help..

i am currently using the free version of x3 watch. i recently wanted to change who gets my accountability reports and quickly realized i forgot my username, admin name, password etc. when i click that i have forgotten, it asks the admin name which i dont remember. i called customer service and they said they can only help with the pro version and to post on here for help.

so... i really need help retrieving that info. i tried to uninstall and that even requires an admin username. any help with be greatly appreciated!!

feel free to contact me at the email address associated with this account that i just created to post this.

    thanks!

All I can think of right now is first contact whoever is currently receiving your email reports and ask them for the username on those emails. My second thought is to do a System Restore to a date prior to the x3 install. A simpler method may be to remove it from the startup files.

thank you eastcoast- i will try those suggestions. so i guess there is no actual tech support of any kind with the free one?

Thanks eastcoast as that is the best suggestion I have right now. We do not have a data base of information on any of this. It is the computer which the software is installed on that does all the work and holds all of that info. I have never heard that you have to have the admin username to uninstall but then again I have never personally done an uninstall.

Here are the directions I have for uninstall of the free version:

    X3WATCH UNINSTALL PC
    1. Open up windows task manager (ctrl-alt-del). Then pick x3watch from the list and click "end task."
    2. Open up windows explorer and delete the folder c:/programfiles/x3watch
OR, run the uninstall file within that folder.

    X3WATCH UNINTSALL MAC
    1. Go to www.x3watch.com and download X3watch Mac.
    2. Run uninstaller which is provided in the downloaded file.

@MT.. you're welcome and I think you're right about not needing a user name for an uninstall...

Now and again I have read forums for content blocking software and am amused by the imaginative ways frustrated youth concoct stories that might convince the powers that be to give them a workaround. By the way, sorry I answered an "ask an admin" thread.. without first telling the OP that I'm not an admin. I judge from your response though that I didn't offend you, so, glad for that.
