GENERAL: 2012 AVN AEE and AVN AWARDS XXXperience
  • SXDXCXSXDXCX January 2012

A wise male porn performer told me that the AVN AEE XXXperience can be quite the pain the ass.

For my 35th birthday, I flew myself to Las Vegas...just by my lonesome self to take in the suppose grandeur of the biggest event in porn...expo and awards.

Scratching yet another item off my bucket list.

Armed with my Nikon digital camera and small fanny pack dangling from my right hip, I took pictures the best I could. Met and talked to Craig Gross. Picture with and just general pictures of porn star. Video taped some.

The AVN AWARDS show was a technical train wreck. People pay damn good money to merely sit in the balcony...far, far, far away from the beautiful women they masturbate to...and most of the audience left due to the unprofessional AVN AWARDS production value.

Think pro wrestling is dumb? Try porn awards.

Granted I'm XXXtremely grateful for attending and making a week out of Vegas...but I have hardly LI'VED A LITTLE out of this. Even tracking down hot women can be annoying. Once again reduced down to idolatry of the most fleeting. More bull___ pics and 8 by 10s.

Now I pack up my gear to fly back to crappy Minnesota

Say Hi to ma and to Garrison Keillor when you get back home. If you had a good zoom See-through-the-lens camera I would think the balcony would be okay. If you want a closeup view, as in all sports, television is where its at. Did you feel like there was an insincerity to this supposed day of respect being given to "the best blowjob" category?

Isn't that how most awards shows are done? The stars are kept well away from the riff-raff and potential incidents of overeager fans.

Tickets to the AVN AWARDS are $275 plus. I paid $275. I had no idea I had balcony seats until I had the ticket in my hand. Otherwise, the gentlemen in back of me in line paid $350.

I stayed for the whole show. Get my money worth. Otherwise, most of the balcony left. The monitor at AVN AWARDS kept glitching to a Milky Way screensaver.

Nice getaway....but I didn't want to leave Vegas. There's NOTHING in bumfutt Midwest for me...there just ISN'T.

Fun to meet Craig Gross...but even THAT was fleeting.

Get out there and milk those cows and leave the sheep alone. What about going to trade school? I know you have skills already, but maybe more will help you get where you wanna go.

Right now I work at a dismal casino in Northwood, Iowa called DIAMOND JO. I want to leave. There's nothing there except for a paycheck and I damn sure DON'T want to live any closer to it.

Howdy, Stranger!
