GENERAL: XXX CHURCH AT 2012 AVN AEE (LAS VEGAS, NEVADA)
  • SXDXCXSXDXCX January 20

Talked to XXX CHURCH Porn Pastor Craig Gross at the 2012 AVN AEE at Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Craig once met a guy whom has 100GB of porn and wondered if that's cumsidered PORN ADDICTION.

    I have 2TB. 100GB...amateur punk downloader...

    Craig just kept saying, "yah...yah..yah..."

He asked what I looked forward to and who I wanted to meet.
    What "addictions" fuel me.

    I clarified my porn usage.

Does Craig REALLY care about saving my soul???

I poked Craig in the shoulder and said, "You were once just a bunch of pixels to me on my computer."

I told Craig that God should have been more careful when He invented sex.

    GOD
I'm creating a loving physical activity between man and woman called "sexual intercourse." A man inserts his penis into a woman's vagina and thrusts his penis in and out until the penis orgasms and injects semen into her to create new life. This will further populate.

    DEVIL/SATAN
*ala 2015 Biff Tannen in BACK<=== TO THE FUTURE PART II*
    So...God invented SEX.

Thanks for the report, SDC ... it's been awhile. What are you doing in Vegas? Pursuing a new career far from home? I don't think the Back to the Future analogy really works. Porn is as old as mankind. With every new technological advance in the arts or publishing, porn usually leads the way. Use it, don't abuse it IMO.

I'm attending the 2012 AVN AEE and AVN AWARDS as my 35th birthday present to myself. I've been to the XXX CHURCH booth many times. I have damn near access to everything and it cost me a grand total of $550.

If there was a way to post my picture with Craig Gross I would do so.

  • eastcoasteastcoast January 21

You can upload it to flickr and post the link. Stay pure while you're at that den of hedonism.

Gigabytes is a poor unit of measure for porn. A hundred gigabytes might mean two hundred full porn movies... or it might mean just two, if they are blu-ray rips. Those areabout fifty gig each, unless reencoded.

I have about ninety thousand images in my collection, but I have no idea how much of that is porn. Less than half.

It was fun meeting Craig Gross, but overall...he didn't give a rats ass about me.

  • s....d....c.....is back....welcome!

  • eastcoasteastcoast January 22

SDC: that may be subjective, plus he may have discerned that it doesn't bother you to be hooked on porn. Craig has said that he doesn't want to ban porn or take it away, just help those who are caught in it to escape, regardless of what side of the camera they're on.

  • If that is true, then that is a rather moderate position...I would have thought he wants to absolutely ban it...does that mean that he is fine with those who are not "caught" in it?

  • eastcoasteastcoast January 23

If you can bear to watch some of the videos, the debate videos and the Three X company videos, you'll get what I mean. Personally, I'm sure he's dead set against porn, but, let's say politically, he's not out to try to ban it from society. I'd say he's a realist in that aspect of it. This whole ministry began as an extension of his youth ministry over ten years ago, when he saw so many kids hooked on porn and nothing being done about it. Yay, Craig! even if I don't agree with him entirely, he started something good, now we can only hope that some balanced teaching emerges out of all of this.

By attending the AVN AEE in Vegas and experiencing the disorganized pain in the ass that it is...I found myself more intrigued by talking to the male performers.

Yes indeed, the hot women hunt is empty. There's no substance to it and I'd rather indulge myself in the creative aspect of filming, editing, storyboarding, etc. I participated in a few seminars. The particular one I was after was THE PERILS AND POTENTIAL OF PARODY PORN which featured Will Ryder, Axel Braun and Lee Roy Myers.

Male performer Eric Swiss was in the crowd and later became an awesome friend.

XXX CHURCH plainly said giving up on porn has to be a personal decision...which is obvious. Like the old saying goes, THERE'S MORE TO LIFE THAN SEX...and honestly, I'm dying to have a date with a woman. I've been alone on this trip....even in a sea of pornography.

Or as Eric Swiss says, "Thanks Dan for contacting me on Facebook. It's nice to know somebody gives a damn."

  • I'm a realist, too...I don't expect all of the adult industry to be interested in God, let alone Christ, but I do believe they are still "smitten" by the idea of being loved....so, the above comment by Eric Swiss to SXDXCX is telling, I think...there still is the Loneliness Factor in the Adult Industry, as well as in life....good that s...d...c did give a damn...

    @eastcoast
....I agree...Good Job to Craig Gross on doing something and reaching out to those hooked on porn....and I do hope as well there is more balance to the teachings...

As you said @becominwhole10, most people want to be loved and that ordinarily implies an appreciation for the individual as a person. Personhood is something that I'm sure those leaving the business are striving to regain, sadly. Sad that they should feel that they need to. I suppose some models have enough fans that they don't feel that de-humanized, others not so lucky. Personally, I just think they should just chalk it up to experience, whether good or bad, and don't look back. You can't make other people like you. There's a lot of lonely guys out there that appreciate the smiling girl of fantasy-- one who loves sex, her own beauty and who has the ability to convey sexual enjoyment to the viewer, as it may be a rare event for them in real life. This is just my theory at the moment... comments welcome.

  • @eastcoast...I agree regarding the past experience they had...the same applies to all of us....I used to cry my eyes out at church over looking at porn and harboring it for months on end, out of the sheer shame of it all...a pastor one time looked at me and sneered...sneered!....I don't cry anymore over that....different matters now, and like you mentioned, "You can't make other people like you", and I would add: "You can't please all of the people all of the time."...(where have I heard that? :p ) .

To be sure, lonely guys, in a lonely culture, like the pleasantries of a fantasy girl who is smiling, self-assured, and enjoying herself....my theory is that God knows all of this and is very loving to such a man, and that He wants more for that guy to enjoy real love in real life, but it's not always as easy as waving a Magic Hand...the guy is shy, maybe not too confident, maybe very young, has his own Faith Walk to grow in....it takes time....the Fantasy Gal ain't bad in and of itself....His Grace covers such imperfections and learning processes....comments welcome, also...

"yeah, vegas takes it toll every year. I think I got away without catching chlamydia this year, but that's only because the day one vaginitis scare had me turned off most of the girls there. overall, was your trip out there worth it? now that you're back in BFM do you miss the Vegass? Life goes on here with scenes and movies."
