Anybody want to share how their Chritmas was and if they felt really close to Christ this Christmas or was He missing, was there joy and peace or was it a mad rush, was their many people but you felt lonely or did you feel the fellowship and love of friends and family? Did you see Christ in others, did you see Him in you or was it endless searching?
I would like you all to remember that we celebrate His birth, because He is the Son of God, so just celebrate anytime because the date is not important but the love, joy and peace that He brought is necessary everyday of our lives.

The smug one is here...
I will tell you about my Christmas then:
- I melted the christmas tree by using the wrong power supply for the lights.
- A huge christmas dinner was prepared, but I felt hungry enough to eat only a tiny portion, thus offending the person who cooked it.
- I managed to avoid getting an expensive presents this year, but only by giving away the new Kindle I received last year within days to show just how much I didn't want it.
- I didn't give a single present. -
It was great. I work at Walmart and survived the Christmas rush. I also got to see some family I had not seen in a couple years and received some cool presents.
-
Hi tweety,
Happy to hear you didn't get hypocritical and start giving or receiving gifts however you did say expensive gifts. Next time use a wooden tree less toxic fumes and you can roast some marshmallows over the fire. It's good you ate just enough, would hate for you to have to make a new years resolution.
Doesn't sound like you had much joy or peace, maybe the next year will be better, hope I haven't offended, you do use the Gregorian calendar system.
PS be careful when you attempt an insult it normally reflects your own character not theirs but that is just my point of view, either way do you really think you know me.

Great to hear you were with family it is a good time to reconnect with everyone. -
Can't talk the family out of giving all gifts, but I argued them down to just token items though. Cheap stuff. We still had to go through the annual arguments about decorations and tree. The latter will be easier next year: We only have one tree now, and it's a perfect size.
The tree that melted was one of those with a single light in the base and fiberoptics throughout. I put too much voltage across that light. The bulb took it, but got so hot it softened the plastic base of the tree, and as a result the tree tilted over to one side and started to fall.
No-one uses real trees over here. Can't grow them very well in this country, the climate is wrong for the type of rapid growth needed for mass-production of Christmas trees, and so they need to be expensively imported. Plastic trees are far more popular.
You are smug. You really should stop denying it. Whenever religion comes up, you exude smugness. Even your habbit of ending every post with 'God is Almighty' sounds less like an endorsement of God and more like a proud boast about the consistant strength of your belief. -
I can feel the love..... SR was so wanting to talk about Christmas and his/her opportunity is granted by a person SR dislikes intensely... merry christmas, everyone! I think I hear a bell ringing or Tiny Tim Cratchin saying something... makes you all warm inside like a Christmas tree melting down... hey, post a video sounds funny.
-
tweety you are funny.
@eastcoast nah, tweety to angry to post funny video, now only speak with forked tongue (fingers). -
As far as I recall, Tweety always got the better of the pussy who, well, hounded him.
As for my Christmas, I filled with a whole bottle of Whisky, it's quite warming. -
Is whiskey a Christian drug? I don't understand. This prayer wall is giving me the creeps... Maybe I should not come here anymore.
-
@Miracle Man - perhaps but who says this is an animation, or that the goal is to devour. Love the hounded joke.
Warming wouldn't be the word I would have used "iron liver" should be your nic, but either way you made it through the day, I suppose, wear sunglasses much the next day?
@addictedtoporn1980 I truly hope not. If there was anything I suppose the water to wine story would have been the one to use. Marriage is a celebration. -
No actually, sticking to one alcohol and similar mixers, I don't get hung over, nerry even drunk.
As for Raven, please leave her alone and do her the courtesy of using her persona's name, even in short form. I do sense a smugness here and too much familiarity at the moment... are you Eric Idle, Nudge Nudge Wink Winking me or something, I have never before met you, but I am sure we will violently disagree at some point, as for Raven, she's intelligent, funny, quirky, If she weren't into Furryism and the foundation of our relationship wouldn't be based on acute irritation with harranging over simplicity across the world for the trivial cascade of applaus I would likely seek to have much more serious contact with her... assuming she's everything she says and English to boot.... she's just flippant and rude on occasion, and personally I get that, I am too when the chips are down around people who seem to constantly misplace the implications of their own religion- that some people are so hurt, it seems probable that some of them need to meet the nature of the universe to become whole, and that you gripped onto that to keep you alive- and honestly, many of you people hurt alot of other people and find 'God excuses' for it that have thing to do with the foundation of your 'truth'. -
Miracle: To fill you in, I've known Paulg from the blog (non-prayerwall) section of xxxchurch for some time, where we spar frequently. He is in the habbit of signing every post of his with 'God is Almighty,' and I occasionally criticise his posts for an very smug attitude of self-superiority.

This forum promotes alcoholism? I don't care to associate with that. Good bye.
-
Silly little possum, I referenced alcoholism, I never promoted it, neither did the forum.
-
I'll drink to that!
