Pray for healing for me guys

I am one that has struggled with porn for years now. Through these years God has shown me much about porn and the adictive behaviors that follow it. God has shown me that my issue really isnt porn, its an emotional problem thats mainly deals with affection that has come from my childhood. The porn is what my flesh uses to cover up and ease my emotion issues. Please pray for me I find healing for my affection issues.

I am also using porn as a way to cope with an emotional issue I have. It is most definitely a drug for me.

I pray that you discover just how very much God loves you, and how much He wants you to be with Him. I pray that God will bless you abundantly, and that you will use the strength He constantly gives you, and apply it to your battle. Remember that God never stops loving you and is always there to forgive you when you call for Him. Remember also that I, as a brother in Christ, love you and that you are always welcome here at the Prayer Wall.

There is healing and victory in the cross of the Lord Jesus!

I'm going to first start off by saying I'm not perfect in this area yet, but I can tell you over the past couple years the Lord has been gradually setting me free from the power enslavement of pornography. Sometimes I still fall, but the thing is that you have to get back up and keep fighting until the cross of the Lord gives you splinters!

I also learned that when it comes to fighting this sin, its important to not just defend yourself in resisting the urges (although thats still good) the Lord wants you to see more just merely resisting the impulses, he wants you to use his strength he provides to combat it!

Read Ephesians 6:10-18 and meditate on it. You have to put on the whole armor of the spirit. Sometimes what I do is I picture myself putting on the words by placing my hands over the areas of my body where the armor needs to go and praying it back to the Lord with this verse.

For the sword of the spirit, you use the verses you know to speak against the temptation (for example, say to the thought "It is written...man does not live on bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God!")

and if you haven't yet, its important that you have christian guys in your life who can encourage you through this and be there to pray for you when you need it. Godbless ya man.
