I looked at the sky with an elderly friend yesterday. She loves it. We talked about the kinds of flowers and trees she has in her yard. I talked with my ex-spouse yesterday and the day before; we may have had some irrational moments, I don't remember now. Pecan pie is a favorite of mine... been a long time, thanks for the reminder.
-
@alex13...thanks, alex...good one! :] I'll make sure to look at Agent007 to ask what he espouses, then laugh at him because he has a toucan on his shoulder!!?....Did I get it right? :O
-
Well, this is a challenge today... Clever, Alex13 and becominwhole10...Hmmm...
Tell your nutty ex-spouse to lift their face to the sky and laugh for a moment... as the flock of pigeons flying overhead...
@eastcoast I think Mr. Noir was going with a theme of mis-reading the days.. :D -
@feline99 i like that so funny.
@becominwhole10 it is sky not spy but still clever -
LOL! :O Let me de-code becominwhole10's holiday comment... I'm pretty sure he meant to say sPy because.... he misused the other holiday's too. (Except for Laughter Day).
National Peacan Day = toucan
Look at the Sky Day = Agent007 (spy)
Ex spouse Day = eSpouse
Moment of Laughter Day = laugh (same) -
@feline99....Yes, you are correct! (though I thought alex13 meant "irrational moment of laughter"! :] I will rephrase with the added celebration alex13 just added:
I'll make sure to look at Agent007 to ask what he espouses, then laugh because his toucan on a tree limb overhead just crapped on his head! He asks me to help, so I reach as high as I can to retrieve his bird. :} -
@becominwhole10 Your revision is perfect, lol! :O I had looked up the holidays out of curiosity, and saw "international moment of laughter."

4/15 Titanic Remembrance Day - An interesting bit of my family history is that my grandfather (my mom's father) was booked on the Titanic with his sisters and my great-grandparents. They had traveled from Finland to board the Titanic, but before boarding they had received word that there was a family emergency (a death or illness) back in Finland and they turned around and went back home instead. Pretty amazing - they would have been on the Titanic when it sank! They did eventually come later on. :)
4/16 National Stress Awareness Day - Yes, I think I observe stress pretty much every day! I'd like to be less aware of it for a while... :( -
I challenge @becominwhole10 to not only use today's holidays in a sentence, but to include yesterday's also, since we missed yesterday. :O This should be a good one, lol!
-
Ahhhh, yessss....I would like to erase the memory of yesterday's Titanic achievement of sending off our business taxes for I am still feeling the aftereffects of that stress today...I better be aware of how that affects me.....maybe I should go read up on that...the local Reference Librarian will have the best idea of books to aid me...I always feel like a Benedict Arnold "renting" rather than supporting my local independent bookstore...before I go having a solid brunch is always smart, with eggs as a good source of protein. ;]
-
@becominwhole10 I knew you could do it, lol!! :O) Creative use of Eggs Benedict Day especially! :)
-
17 Blah, Blah, Blah Day , National Cheeseball Day ,Pet Owners Independence Day
@beconinwhol10 wow -
@feline99....Too True! :o
I heard a preacher today referring to how Christ had such a great sense of humor that "one time" (...only one time?? ), when He referred to a plank hanging out of a hypocrite's eye while trying to get the speck out of another's eye...and how the listeners must have just "chuckled" at that....what a Cheeseball pastor, I thought!....Then later on I saw a man walking his dog, stopped to let his St. Bernard leave a wonderful creation on a neighbor's lawn, didn't clean it up, but the neighbor saw it and came out yelling...boy howdy, sparks were flying!! So I went over there and tried to joke with them about how huge the pile of poop was and that we should all be admiring it and what a beautiful dog and blah, blah, blah............The End. :O -
@becominwhole10 and @alex13 Even sadder, alex, I didn't get it until I read YOUR comment!! I thought the story was a little odd, and wondered what I was missing, LOL!!! Becominwhole10, you're getting more clever all the time!
-
@ALLTHREEOFYOU.....HEE HEE HEE! :O
-
@eastcoast What the black & white thing in your avatar? A giant panda?
-
@eastcoast yea we are :)
@feline99 you talking about the rock in front of a tomb -
I would just tell the Lord to take control of it. Don't be committal to your family right away, so you don't have to break a promise. Tell the Lord that He knows best and ask Him to intervene: If He wants you to go that He will give you the grace to overcome and if He doesn't want you to go, circumstances will such that you won't be able to. You are loved.

I happened upon an article by NY Times columnist David Brooks on how Donald Trump strikes a major chord in America , then had to juggle the seriousness of said topic with the London Times cartoon of Trump's hair being investigated...ha ha!...back to the serious...if an American truly loves this country, whether they are more conservative or more liberal, then I would say that they are a true Patriot! :O
-
@becominwhole10 Lol again!! You're so good at making up stuff, ha ha!! Love "Trump's hair being investigated" ha ha ha! :O Yep, I think he's guilty of 1st degree Bad Hair, that's for sure!
-
